If a Ride is stolen, the Renter should ALWAYS start by calling the police and obtaining a report. Once this is acquired, the Renter or Lister should contact Spinlister as soon as possible. We will work with the Lister to assess the replacement costs. Typically, Spinlister directs both parties from the reservation to get a replacement estimate from a local specialty shop or an online shop.
If a Renter is found to be responsible for replacing the Ride, they can choose to pay the Lister directly (via PayPal, Check, Venmo, Square Cash, etc.) OR Spinlister can charge the credit card on file for the full amount of the damage and then reimburse the Lister. Spinlister offers all Renters the option to purchase a Protection Program for damage and/or theft.
